Instant dispersed carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) is a cellulose ether derivative, which is a water-soluble polymer compound with various excellent properties obtained by chemical modification of natural cellulose. It is named after its ability to quickly dissolve and evenly disperse in water, and has wide applications in many fields.
Physical and chemical properties
Appearance: Usually white or slightly yellow powdery solid, odorless and tasteless, with good fluidity.
Solubility: It can quickly dissolve in water to form a transparent and uniform viscous solution. It can be quickly dispersed in cold water, with a much faster dissolution rate than ordinary carboxymethyl cellulose, greatly saving dissolution time and operating costs.
Viscosity characteristics: Its aqueous solution has a high viscosity, and the viscosity increases rapidly with increasing concentration. Viscosity is also related to factors such as temperature and pH value. Generally, viscosity is relatively stable under neutral to weakly alkaline conditions. As the temperature increases, viscosity will decrease, but it can still maintain good viscosity within a certain temperature range.
Stability: It has good chemical stability and can resist microbial degradation and the influence of chemical substances within a certain pH range and temperature conditions. It also has a certain stability to light, heat, oxygen, etc., and is not prone to deterioration and degradation reactions.
